It has been said that Merika Hunter
is the "flower" of the band Soulflower. Her voice soars clean
and high above the thundering rage of the band, allowing the group to
achieve a deeply contrasting timbre. Merika was raised in Toronto, Canada
and sang with the Etoeicoke Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Lambert-Lee Family
Band.

Will "Sweet Potato"
Yam The bassist is often the backbone of a band, and here is no
exception. Will manages to hold everything together with his unusually
dexterous style of 6-string bass-playing, while simultaneously singing
lead and backing vocals. In his past musical lives, Will has played the
electric bass in several groups including The
Dopes and the legendary Aluminum Canfreaks.

Johnny "Bam-bam" Aitken
has been beating the skins since the beginning of time. Formerly a
professional surfer from the Big Island of Hawaii, Johnny went on to play
with the Wave Warriors, a surf band so RAD that you weren't even
allowed to listen to them unless you were dropping in.
